Monday Moodle Recap: July 18, 2011

Happy Monday!

For a special edition of our weekly Monday Moodle Recap, we wanted to send a note of thanks to everyone that attended, presented, or contributed to last week's Moodle Moot US- West Coast 2011 in Rohnert Park, CA. Without you, we couldn't have made it the event that it was.

A special note of thanks goes out to John Whitmer and the California State University System, the members of the Moot program committee, and keynote speakers Martin Dougiamas, Susan Ko, David Wiley and Michael Feldstein.

We received loads of positive feedback and commentary via our Twitter hashtag (#mootusca11) and have seen a great deal of active networking within the Moodle Moot US NING. However, quite possibly the biggest success we've seen in Moot collaboration has been the Moodle Moot US 2011 session overview Google Doc. Check it out when you get a chance and feel free to contribute. A BIG thanks goes out to Mel Benson, (aka @moodlerific) for putting that together.

Also, we wanted to send a big thanks to Joe Thibault for hosting the Moot US West Coast 2011 banner on www.moodlenews.com, and for organizing a few posts by Moot attendees. Joe has had his finger on the pulse of Moodle-centric news for the past few years, and we're always thankful for his contributions.

Check out those posts below:
Last but not least, Moodlerooms is in the progress of collecting and reposting the presentations from the Moot sessions. We will be sharing those materials on www.moot-us.com as they become available, so keep a close eye on Twitter hashtag #mootusca11 and this blog. If you have anything to contribute from the Moot, feel free to email feedback@moodlerooms.com or reach out using any of our social networking channels.

Thanks again for another great Moot! Until next time...

- Brad
